OSCE exam

it's been long since da last post.. i've been in practical ever since last week and today is OSCE exam day!!!! i was worried yet lazy to revision my procedures da night before.. and feeling sleepy but unable to sleep... but i finally did at around 3am.. duhhh~~!! i went to college early morning at around 7.30 am and had to wait till my turn for the exam until it was 3pm.... together wif my classmates, we revise the procedures and at the same time feeling nervous.. lolx..

There were 12 stations which include 2 resting station.. among all the procedure those that came out in the exam was:-
>changing underwater sealed bottle : i think i didn't make any mistakes thr but it wasn't a real
complete one due to time limit.. i left out the documentation..
>bandaging : figure of eight on a patient's right ankle.. i did it twice n i think i did the correct one
second time..
>tracheostomy suction : i ruin this one.. whr i forgotten to lubricate the catheter the second time i repeat the suction n wasn't able to do for the second time... arwhhh... dats bad :'(
>health care : peak flow meter .. this i think i have explained wat i was suppose to but da charting abit out of way... i wasnt sure... haih..
>writing section : its about writing out the name of the equipments and their function... errrmm its gud this time dat i did not mess up a scaple blade holder wif a thermometer like i did for the trial.. but this time i forgotten tracheal dilator and instead of it i wrote tracheal forceps.. lol
>removing suture station : this was the 2nd station i went to but its my 1st station i started on procedure coz my 1st station was rest!! lol.. this was another one i really mess up wif.. haihxxx..
i did it well until i cut da 1st stitch n realise i hadn't place a gauze for the removed suture on my sterile field... n i request for a second try but time doesnt allow me to do so.. n wats worst??!! it's a wrong bell to finish the station.. damn it..
> don sterile gloves : errmm this was a sem 1 procedure i hope so i did it well.. thou its abit difficult to wear da gloves...
>administerin O2 therapy : this was funny... coz i cant adjust the O2 flow meter.. lol.. n i keep playing with the adjust button until the examiner came n told me to leave it n continue to wat im supposed to do.. lol
>steam inhalation : this part is actually a health teaching procedure.. teaching the patient how to use the steam inhaler.. erm i didn't know how i did in this station.. lol..
>da last one: this is a writing station again.. counting the drips and stating the precautions.. i can do the counting but the stating precautions..errmrmmmm... sum problem.. lol..

tml will get the results n feedback.. n will c if i was one of the choosen one to retake the exam agian.. bless my resultsss...

worst day ever~~!!!!

it's april fool this month but today is "wanjun's fool day!!! " it started in the morning during OSCE(practical exam) practice... there was one station where we sit and write in a piece of paper of what the equipments shown on the table.. there were 5 equipments.. where some i can name it wif their function n others i forgotten da name.. but there was one of the equipment which is a scaple ( blade holder) where my small eye see it wrongly as a thermometer... i din realise bout it until i was back in class and my friends talk about it.. it's only me who ever tot it was a THERMOMETER!!!! omg!!! what ever that comes into my mind at dat time was " OMGGG~~!!! it's gonna be VERY embarrasing, during da feedback session , and im sure that when they mark my paper they'll laugh out like nobodies bussiness... and they know its me.. OMGGG~~!!" 2 things to be blame!!! 1) its a bad day for me, 2) i din hav my spec on dat time.. GOSSHHH~~!!..

the next was... after class, i went for movies wif jasmine and angie.. and i ask jasmine to help me keep my car key in her bag.. n guess wat??!! after movies.. jasmine went home on her own n i fetch angie home... juz b4 i wanted to open my car door " OMG.. whr's my car key!!!!!"[ i only realise da car key wasn't wif me rite up to dat point!!!!] dat was soooooo.... stupid... and me n angie keep on calling jasmine.. hoping she would answer da call n tell us she wasn't too far away.. but she din't realise da call coz hp was out of batt... so all i can do dat time was to call back home and ask mum to call 2nd aunty for da spare key!!!! goshhhh...... it's so bad to wake aunty up when she was having her nice sleep.. aihhh.... n finally dad bring me da keys.. lol.. get some scoldings.. haihh.. my fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
